Discover Local Artists
and Studios
Take a ride through Fayette County in the extraordinary Laurel Highlands and discover artists and studios along the Between 2 Rivers Artist Trail. On this self-guided tour, private studios are opened so visitors can engage with local artists, see how they work and what inspires them, and buy beautiful original pieces. Our artists work in ceramics, mosaics, metal, glass, fiber, jewelry, paint, and more. Enjoy as much of the trail as you please and spend an inspired day Between 2 Rivers!
Between 2 Rivers Artist Trail
The Between 2 Rivers Artist Trail is a free event with art studios open from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19th 2023. We are a collective of artists located in Fayette County and are joined by guest artists from neighboring counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland. We invite the public to our homes and studios to share our crafts, demonstrate how we work, and create a better understanding of the arts. During the event, visitors can explore as many studios as they’d like and many of our artists conduct demonstrations of their process. Our name reflects Fayette County’s two major rivers, the Youghiogheny and the Monongahela. Many of our studios are located near a river or tucked in the Allegheny Mountains. The biking, hiking, and paddling opportunities, plus Fayette County’s hotels, inns, wineries, restaurants, and antique shops make a tour of the Artist Trail a perfect part of a weekend getaway.
